2025 Siem Reap-Wide Calendar Art Competition

Did you know that every year, since 2003, Colors of Cambodia releases a totally original wall calendar of high caliber art? Who doesn't love an old school calendar!? (by the way stay tuned for this sale in the coming months - it's a great way to support us!)

In order to "hunt" for the best art in the region, we host a Siem Reap-wide art competition to ensure the best and most inventive images make it into the calendar! (we assure you... this is super tough) So who's involved in the 2024 competition?

*6 local schools around SR - some as far as 45 minutes away in the countryside
*a group of students from Sam Walker's youth center Spean Chivit, who are receiving weekly art classes from an American art teacher
*a group of students attending COC classes from Heartprint
*all of our students that attend the COC River school on a regular basis

What do the winners of the competition receive?

*A big bundle of art supplies
*Hard cold cash
*Nomination for a spot in the 2024 calendar

From these winners, we then curate the calendar. Stay tuned as this big project unfolds, but here are some videos of our curation process.
